Message I had Nissan replace all the hydraulics (slave and master) when they put the very first tranny in. I even got up under the car and watched the slave action and it`s perfect. The only way to keep it from crunching is to let the engine completely idle down in neautral before moving it to 2nd........accelerate in 1st,shift to neutral and let engine completely come to an idle, then slowly move the shifter into 2nd and it won`t crunch. But,when you accelerate in 1st,and shift it directly to 2nd,you get the crunch.

The service manager at the dealership said all 3 trannies according to the serial #s came off the assembly line side by side and that it is a batch/lot defect. He said the manual trannies are a notorious weak spot in the Z32s,unfortunately. He has a 92 TT and knows these cars inside and out. Very honest and knowledgable guy. I`ve always gotten impeccable service from him.

Man tranny problems are depressing!
